Colwall Cricket Festival 2009

The festival was created in 2002 for young boys and girls to gain their first experience of a cricket festival in the safe and beautiful surroundings of the Malvern Hills. The initial venue was The Downs School, Colwall, Herefordshire, with matches hosted both at the school and nearby at Colwall Cricket Club. As the festival grew in popularity a new larger venue was required and it moved across the hills into Worcestershire and the wonderful offerings of Malvern College. Fantastic cricket has been played by hundreds of boys and girls at the festival over the years and soon we may see one of 'our' boys or girls playing for England. However, the true spirit of the festival is to provide opportunity and to enthuse young people.
