13th July to 22nd August 2005 - CHINA


13th July, 4:50pm, my flight left Heathrow Airport.


A sleepless flight. Out of the window, we always caught the sun.


14th July, 9:50am local time,I arrived in Beijing, after a ten hour flight.





16th (1) The only good thing about my jet lag was the fact that I got a chance to say 'Good Morning, Beijing' at 5:00am

(3) A fisherman on the bank of the Forbidden City river.


(4) A retired woman doing her morning exercises. I can't do that but most old women in Beijing can!


(5) Retired men generally prefer taking their pet birds for a walk instead.


18th (1) The Zhongguancun Science Park is currently home to 8,000 enterprises armed with new technology.


(2) Lenovo (Legend), Founder and other companies who represent the hi-tech image of modern China, have also set up businesses in Zhongguancun Science Park.

21st Big and small


(1) Secret photos in an Army base. The pictures on the walls are of Chairman Mao, Deng, and Jiang.


(2) Tiananmen Square.


(3) My favourite shop, and very expensive. Clothes here normally cost £500-600 each.


22st Flying to my hometown by the Air Force. every exciting!


23stMy hometown. I will stay with my parents for a week.


Traditional breakfast. noodle with chitterlings and blood.


She knows my father very well, every morning, my dad buy newspaper from her.


My Mum is working in this medicinal materials center.
